Exotic Sources

Ego, Parent and the Voice of the Inner Self, are not alone. If it were so, the task of learning how to communicate would be more simple. This work would not be complete without mentioning some of the other sources you will likely encounter or hear about.

As you practice listening, and learn to discriminate among the various sources referred to in one section as though they were radio station frequencies, you probably will begin to identify and categorize many more 'sources' than these. Some are very personal. Some may be very exotic. And some are simply illusory.

In most cases, however, they will be seen to be some form or characterization of Ego or Parent. In my own work developing inner dialog, I have learned – though I have not always successfully incorporated the learning – that it is important not to judge the experiences of others. Since in a very real sense, we create our own realities, who is to say what is real and what is not?

And, there are always the 'unknown' sources....

Other Personalities
There is a branch of quantum science that holds that any possible alternative reality that could have existed does exist in some alternate state. The work of Jane Roberts (The Seth Material) and others further elaborates on this idea.

It is not impossible that you will encounter alternate personalities of yourself. These can be interesting to explore, but they are also potentially powerful alternatives of Ego in their effects.

Other Lives
The same line of belief also postulates that our sense of  time evolves from our belief in cause and effect. We need 'time' to keep things in order and keep 'everything from happening at once.' Thus, it only seems that time always goes forward, never backward.

If so, if Time is a construct and doesn't really exist in the first place, then it is possible to interact with past – and future – lives. This is a very interesting area for exploration, but it is fraught with the potential for self-delusion and can easily sidetrack you from your ultimate goal.

Over the course of several years, I developed an on-going relationship with what I believe to have been a past life. This experience led to exciting insights into a different culture, social structure and life line. Other than expanding my awareness of other cultures and possibilities, which I do not wish to diminish in importance, it actually did little for me that advanced my growth here and now, in this lifetime.

Other Beings?
Some individuals believe they are channels for beings (entities) who can communicate through them to others. I have experienced some of these channels and find them to be very interesting, and often enlightening. There truly seems to be something happening, though what is sometimes difficult to say.

I also have experience with channeling, and have more to say about that on another page. However, I can tell you briefly that there are more similarities than differences, at least as far as the process goes. I believe that the source, however, may be different. In that sense, you are channeling You.
